Margaret’s Housing for Older Women (Maggie’s)

Margaret’s Housing for Older Women (Maggie’s) is an independent-living residential program in north Burnaby focused on community and relationship and developed specifically for women aged 55 and older. Maggie’s is just two blocks south of East Hastings Street, which boasts a lively commercial area and easy access to public transit.

Located on a spacious and beautiful site, Maggie’s is wheelchair accessible and offers a community kitchen and garden program as well as other on-site activities. Program participants each have a private room with an en-suite bathroom and private balcony. There is a large shared kitchen, dining and living room. One live-in residential care worker plus three additional staff are available to assist women with resource referrals and in emergencies.
